What is it all about?

We will see the face of the city of Louis XIV but also of Napoleon III and the republic of a liberated nation. We will see a Paris imbued with beauty, grandeur and romanticism as we immerse ourselves in the history of its monuments and the Parisians who shaped them.

 

​We will talk about the development of the Palais du Louvre over the course of successive Monarchs, the major works carried out by Louis XIV and Napoleon III and the technical challenges of the industrial revolution during the golden age of incredible universal exhibitions.

- Wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water or a flask, the many fountains in the City of Lights provide drinking water.
- Carry 1 or 2 transport tickets with you if necessary
